Food Production Realize "a Decade of Growth"

In just the last in 2013, China's total grain output reached 601.935 million tons, an increase of 2.1%, which meant that China's grain production achieved "a Decade of Growth". As the advancement of food production program, the grain drying and storage were particularly important. Agriculture Minister Han Changfu also emphasized that China's basic policy was to solve the issue of food security. According to statistics, China's grain’s harvest losses reached up to 15% after drying, storage and transportation, 5% of which were as the reason of moist climat and lagged harvest. If it was culculted as annual 500 million tons of grain, the loss would be equivalent to the 25 million tons which was available for 6.8 million people a year.

In recent years, in the areas of grain drying and storage, China's agricultural machinery industry endavors to practice and achieved gratifying results, of Which, Muyang, according to our different countries’ moisture, developed and manufactured the drying equipments suitable for Chinese situation through adopting advanced international technology with simulation design and CNC machining tools. Muyang also alternatived to traditional concrete silo warehouse in a bold manner and improved the health and seal, reducing storage loss up to 5%.

Muyang grain drying and storage system has been shown in the major grain-producing provinces such as Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Northeast and other places to fully meet the users’ needs and it is suitable for current production status. President Fan of Muyang said that if the grain dryer system and storage plant could be popularized as planned, it could dry grains with 2.7 million tons annually. If the food could not be storaged in a reasonable way, more that 5% loss would happen, namely 135 thound tons. By 2020, the annual scientific drying and storage can increase about 3.78 million tons to provide a strong support for the production capacity up to 100 billion.

At the same time of making “a Decade of Growth”, Muyang carried out the plan to cooperate with Asia-Pacific agricultural science industries at the call of Goverment to make attributions to Asia-Pacific food security.
